Studio Atelico Announces Bobium Brawlers: AI-Powered Creature Creation Game Coming to iOS in 2026

Studio Atelico has announced Bobium Brawlers, a turn-based card and dice battler featuring AI-generated creature creation, scheduled for exclusive release on iOS platforms in 2026.

According to a promotional trailer released on X (formerly Twitter), the game is set in a science fiction laboratory where a failed experiment 50 years prior produced "Bobium," a substance that enables the creation of unique creatures for competitive battles. Players assume the role of a novice scientist working alongside an AI assistant named BEPPE to create combatants for player-versus-player matches.

The game's primary feature allows players to input text descriptions of up to 140 characters, which the system uses to generate playable cards with corresponding artwork, statistics, abilities, and animations. The strategic gameplay combines card mechanics with dice-based elements for variability in match outcomes.

Bobium Brawlers utilizes Apple's Neural Engine for on-device AI processing, compatible with recent iPhone models. The development team has implemented artist-curated style parameters to maintain visual consistency and quality control. According to art director Mollie Boorman in an interview with Creative Bloq, the studio has established a compensation framework for artists whose work influences AI-generated content.

CEO Piero Molino, formerly of Uber's AI division and Stanford University, addressed concerns regarding AI implementation in creative industries. The studio has integrated content moderation systems including stylistic filters, gameplay balance mechanisms, and player reporting features to maintain appropriate content standards.

As Studio Atelico's inaugural release, beta testing is planned for the near future. Interested participants can access information through the studio's official Discord channel at discord.gg/YM3Awydeuk or visit atelico.studio/bobium-brawlers for additional details and promotional materials.

The announcement positions Bobium Brawlers within ongoing industry discussions regarding the integration of generative AI technology in game development.
